Looking For Tribute Bands For Hire

By Ericka Marsh

There are many times when hiring a live band for an event can make all the difference. There are many tribute bands for hire and one should be selected that best suits the type of occasion and that the guests will enjoy most. A band of this nature often spends a great deal of time perfecting their act and making sure that they honor the original creators of the music.

Some of these groups have been together for many years and have become quite famous in their own right. Neil Diamond, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper and others have inspired many groups to try and recreate their sounds. Costumes, hairstyles and even gestures and mannerisms are studied closely. For others, it is all about capturing the distinctive sounds of the original band. They use authentic instruments and amplifiers.

Looking online enables one to listen to demo tracks that are recorded in a studio. From these, a good impression of the skill level of performers can be obtained, although they will not sound quite the same when playing live. Photographs of the band are also available as well as video recordings of live performances which offer a better idea of how they sound and move on stage.

One of the most important considerations is the venue. A number of groups are able to adapt to the size of a venue. They have a smaller number of members who perform in an intimate venue and are able to scale up with more members, instruments and lighting for bigger venues. A larger band needs a stage and a fairly large space to sound its best.

There are no standard prices as they are influenced by the size of the band, their experience, length of performance and many other factors. The more experienced bands are able to charge much more than those who are still building their reputations. A band may be able to adjust what is offered to suit a specific budget.

Backing tracks are used by many groups so as to produce the full, rich sound. This allows them to offer reasonable prices. It also means that they are able to perform in the smaller, more intimate venues.

A band requires some time to set up and do sound checks in the venue and this must be taken into account when making a booking. They will usually also require a room with privacy and security where they can change and prepare for the performance. The length of performances is different from band to band. Sometimes they will do two sets of 30 minutes, taking a break in the middle or they will play solidly for a full hour.

When you make your booking, you need to allow for time for the band to set up at the venue and to do a sound check. They will need somewhere private and secure where they can change, leave their instrument cases and prepare for their show. Many of them perform for about an hour but time they play can also be specified.
