After knowing how to play a piano very well, then one may engage in an exploration of becoming a teacher. Experience is also another important aspect which should be looked into. The other thing to do is to decide on the number of lessons one wishes to have with each students. You should also be able to decide on the length of the lesson, whether the lessons will be running for thirty minutes daily or for one hour daily. Since you are starting to teach, it is advisable that you charge lower rates as compared to those who are already in the market. This will attract many students hence you will as well gain experience by teaching several people.

The other thing is to decide on the place where the lessons will be held. You may decide to have them at your house or to commute to the place where your student is residing provided that they have a piano with them in the house. However, the place should be kept tidy and calm to allow for maximum concentration. It should be away from any distraction which might interfere with the lessons.

Without the students, one cannot be able to teach. It therefore calls for looking for students to teach. The search can be conducted through advertisement in the newspapers, use of flyers as well as using posters. You must be able to convince the intending students that you are good at playing the piano hence you will be in a position to teach them properly.

Planning is another important aspect of teaching. You should be able to plan what you will cover during the first lessons. This calls for developing a proper lesson plan indicating what each student should cover each week until they complete all their lessons.

The first lesson should be on the introduction and simple keys. It is also important that during the first lessons, you introduce yourself to the student and also allow the student to introduce themselves to you. This will create a good learning environment as well as creating a good teacher student relationship.

It is also necessary to create a good working relationship with your students. You can achieve these by telling them your name and what you do other than teaching. You can also share with them your experience in playing the piano and any other interesting thing with will make you to bond with them.

You should also be in a position to recommend various books to the students so that they can read prior before the beginning of each lesson. This will make the learning to be interesting as the student shall have had an idea prior before the class. These preparations helps one to know how to become a piano teacher.
